I’ve noticed some of the really cool blogs that I follow do a summary each week, and since I want to be cool too, I thought I’d give it a shot.
Then I realised I actually didn’t do an awful lot except beg and plead for votes on the Circle of Moms Top 25 Funny Moms.
I didn’t get into the Top 25, but wasn’t far off it at number 29, which I’m pretty darned happy about. I think that’s a pretty awesome achievement for a newbie from little old New Zealand, so I’m definitely counting it as a win. Plus I found some more awesome blogs to follow.
I did, however, get asked by Circle of Moms to become a contributor to their Top Mom Bloggers Pinterest Group. Okay so they probably asked everyone who was nominated, but I’m going to pretend it’s because I’m really special.
I’m still struggling to get over the lurgies that inspired my post the week before The toddler guide to when Mummy is unwell. The toddler in question has also been unwell, and so I’m finding it hard to find the funny at the moment.
Offers for me to review Turbo Blaster Super Sucker vacuum cleaners have totally failed to materialise after I wrote this piece, but my father-in-law has gained valuable Brownie Points after offering us his spare vacuum cleaner.
I created this:
And this:
It was pointed out that as I rarely drink these days, the cash donation will be fairly low. Thus I urge anyone who is considering taking me up on this offer to get in early as it won’t be long before my alcohol tolerance increases.
I wrote a Marmighty Catastrophe after New Zealand was delivered with the shocking news that we have almost run out of stocks of Marmite. None of our local supermarkets have any in stock, so our household has had to make the switch to Vegemite which comes from Australia. Oh the shame!
I got insulted while out walking with my kids, but because of this status, some of my overseas readers were introduced to one of my favourite words – plonker.
I’ve been completely blown away by the support I’ve received for my blog. I’m absolutely stoked that so many of you took the time to share and get extra votes for me, and that you believed I was worthy of being in the Top 25. Sending good karma to you all because you all rock!

Nice work on getting into the top 30! I voted for you you. Next year you’ll own the Top 25. I like the Circle of Moms Pinterest site. I think I’ll find some good ideas to write about over there. Haha. Take care and have a good weekend.
Thank you – I feel very privileged that the number one Top 25 Funny Mom voted for me. Looking forward to seeing what influence the Pinterest group will have on you
