How many of you remember that catchy song by Pluto called “Don’t Stab a Nun”? I’ve always thought it was an odd thing to sing about, but nevertheless I warbled along to it every time I heard it on the radio.
And then someone heard me singing along and they started laughing at me.
I didn’t think my singing was that bad; I mean I’m no X-Factor finalist, but I can certainly hold a tune.
In between guffaws, they tried to infer that the lyrics are actually “Dance Stamina”. Pfft. I challenge you to listen to it and not hear “Don’t stab a nun” from here on in.
Right, I’m off to sing along to that famous AC/DC song, “It’s a long way to the shops if you wanna sausage roll.”*

*Yes, yes, the AC/DC one isn’t one of my ones, but ever since I heard that version, I haven’t been able to sing it any other way.

oh the old Bon Jovi song, Livin’ on a prayer.. I used to sing “it doesnt really matter if your naked or not” but the words were actually It doesnt really matter if you make it or not.

This is hilarious. My husband is always catching me singing along to songs but the wrong lyrics. He enjoys correcting me, but somehow I love my own lyrics better.

Yes I often think songs are improved with my lyrics, and sometimes their tunes need a bit of tweaking too!

I have many but some I can’t type LOL….You would think being a singer my whole life I could share those moments but I’ll have to just enjoy you singing Don’t stab a nun LOL which is very good advice by the way
